ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Colleagues,

It is a matter of great proud and privilege for me to bring to your kind notice that the “Cotton Research and Development Association”, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has introduced the following awards for the benefit of students and scientists working on any discipline related to cotton production technologies and allied subjects from January 2015.

I.                  Best Research Paper Award:

The papers published in the “Journal of Cotton Research and Development” during January to December in a particular year will be eligible for the above award.

This award will be in three distinct categories i.e. Crop Improvement, Crop Production, Crop Protection and Social Sciences.

II.               Best Thesis Award (M.Sc. and Ph.D.):

The thesis (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) submitted by any student during January, 2015 to December, 2016 on cotton crop with any discipline at any State Agricultural University or Institute is eligible for the award. A copy of the thesis with date of clearing the thesis examination or declaration of the result along with the copy of the report of the external examiner may be submitted to the Secretary, CRDA by 31^th January, 2017 positively. These theses will be evaluated critically regarding the suitability of the thesis for the said award by three different eminent scientists in their respective fields.

     The result of the award will be intimated by March of the respective year. A plaque and a certificate will be given at the time of All India Coordinated Cotton Improvement Project meeting normally held in the first week of April every year.
